Sleeve M; Vinyl M. Currents is the third studio album from Australian band Tame Impala, released in July 2015 via Modular Recordings. The album sees frontman Kevin Parker writing, performing, producing and mixing the entire record himself in his home studio. Stylistically, it represents a bold shift toward synth‑laden, disco‑inflected psychedelic pop with shades of R&B and funk; songs like “Let It Happen” and “The Less I Know the Better” showcase this evolution. The album explores personal transformation, change and introspection—hence the title Currents—and it debuted at No. 1 in Australia, No. 3 in the UK, and No. 4 in the US, becoming Tame Impala’s most commercially successful release to date.
